Build your own NOOK village
NOOK is a set of five very different houses: some look traditional, cosy and rural, others are sleek, urban and modern. They’re true prefab houses: pre-cut and pre-scored. Inside, the walls have trendy grid-pattern wallpaper in matching colours.
All you need to do as the village architect: open the shutters and doors (and, where needed, gently press out the windows), glue walls and roofs together where indicated — and voilà!
Village square or Wall Street?
Assembling this little neighbourhood is pure joy. And once it’s done, the real fun begins: arranging your mini village! Will it be a cheerful Christmas village on your dining table, a neat row of houses along the windowsill, or a cute little street up against the wall?
(We actually made a fun VIDEO of such a “wall street”: it features the previous generation of NOOK houses!)
Hot tip: light up your houses with an artificial tealight! A small LED tealight fits perfectly. I use rechargeable ones — they last for years, and you won’t need to waste those nasty button batteries.
